About the college
The college started as a department affiliated to the College of Management and Economics, under the name of the Department of Management Information Systems only In May 2023, a decision was taken to transform and expand the department into an independent specialized college affiliated with the Islamic University of Minnesota - the main center under the name of the College of Computing and Information Technology. They also contribute to advancing the wheel of development, and keeping pace with the global development in various fields, which took the lead in these developments in computer science and its branches such as artificial intelligence and the development of the importance of cyber security in cyberspace, so that departments were opened that meet the requirements and desires of the labor market needs in terms of qualifying security technical cadres Able to carry out its duty and be reliable in managing and securing systems using and applying the latest technical sciences, equipment and technological software.
The College of Accounts and Information Technology includes three main majors and departments:
- Department of Management Information Systems
- Department of Networks and Cyber security
- Department of Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence
These departments include the following programs:
- Bachelor's program.
- Master's program.
- PhD program.
