About the Department

The Department of Digital Journalism for postgraduate studies and research is a key department within the College of Media. It offers researchers the opportunity to obtain Master's and Doctoral degrees in various fields of journalism, both print and electronic. These fields are based on creativity and in-depth thinking about media and journalism issues and their relationship with societal matters. The department seeks to refine students' talents academically and practically through courses and academic activities that leverage modern technology and digital communication, while remaining committed to a strong theoretical foundation that includes communication theories, journalism ethics, and media legislation, and their impact on society.

Department's vision is to aspire to a distinguished leading role in utilizing material, human, and technical resources to deepen the cultural awareness of the university's internal and external community. To keep pace with the developments in information and communication technology and the societal need for research whose findings are beneficial and offer solutions to phenomena, by following a rigorous and disciplined scientific research methodology built on a commitment to research ethics.
