An overview of the department

The Department of Media is a Bachelor’s degree, and it is one of the most prominent and important departments of the College of Media. The department provides students and researchers in the field of media with the opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree in the fields of public information in its various subjects, which are the subjects and courses of radio, television, journalism, digital media, and public relations (strategic communication) related to the expansion of theoretical knowledge. In this field and strengthening the skills of public relations and methods of implementation and the materials of various journalism courses, whether printed or electronic, which are areas based on creativity, editing and in-depth thinking in media and journalism issues and their relationship to community issues and studying the correlation between them and the materials of digital media courses so that students are able to deal with information and media technology Digital and electronic newspapers and the rapid developments in the media arena, as well as radio and television curricula materials so that they are qualified scientifically and professionally to be able to deal with satellite channels, developments in satellite and television broadcasting, information science, and what is found in the field of rapid developments in the fields of radio and television.

The department seeks to work on refining students' talents academically and practically through academic training and development courses and activities that keep pace with modern technology and digital communication with its commitment to theoretical foundation that includes communication theories, media ethics and legislation, press ethics of all kinds in society, and knowledge of the history of Islamic media.
