Department head’s speech of the Graduate Studies
A Salute of Respect and Appreciation to Every Supporter of Diligent Efforts and Planning... May my Lord’s blessings and peace be a gift to the Chosen One, the best of mankind, and upon his family and companions. In the name of Allah, and all praise is due to Him, who strengthens resolve.
The Graduate Studies Department at the College of Media was established to be a trusted source of detailed information about the graduate programs available at your alma mater, the tasks entrusted to the college, and the services it provides for both the master's and doctoral levels. The department continuously strives, as you have always known, to reach the highest rank in the field of graduate studies. It has been committed to offering you high-quality programs for master's degrees and doctoral programs, which is evident from the noticeable increase in the number of students enrolling in the graduate programs of the College of Media. We aspire, in the future, to activate all departments of the College of Media as planned (Journalism, Radio and Television, Digital Media), in addition to the International Graduate Program.

They spare no effort in overseeing graduate studies affairs in addition to their passion for scientific research and learning. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude and great appreciation to all faculty members, the department secretary, department coordinators, and graduate students for joining the graduate studies community of the College of Media at the Islamic University of Minnesota, USA. We look forward to offering you all the support under all circumstances, especially during these unprecedented and exceptional times we are currently experiencing, with the aim of fulfilling our educational mission and continuing our research journey. Together with you, we aim to transform the current challenges into opportunities, proving that we are the most capable of facing these challenges and the strongest in navigating through the stormy winds and turbulent waves.
We support research excellence and scientific innovation, in particular, and are keen on meeting the evolving needs of civil society at all local, regional, and international levels. We provide a highly qualified teaching staff in the field of scientific research, while at the same time, we strive tirelessly to develop the competencies of our graduates and prepare them thoroughly for their future careers. This ensures they possess practical skills and technical tools in their diverse areas of expertise, enabling them to be more capable of finding the most distinguished jobs in today’s ever-progressing and changing world.
