An overview of the department
The Department of Educational Psychology is one of the important departments of the College of Educational Sciences. The department teaches the courses of the postgraduate program "Master's and Doctorate". Master's students study 15 courses in three semesters, and PhD students study 10 courses in two semesters, then proceed to the scientific thesis.

Department Vision is to achieve leadership at the regional and global levels in the field of education and psychology in order to keep pace with the new developments that fulfill the aspirations of society.
Department Mission
Department mission is to prepare and qualify scientific cadres in the field of education and psychology, including teachers, psychologists, educational supervisors and researchers, and to train students on scientific research skills in the field of educational psychology.
Department Goals
Rehabilitation of students and enabling them to acquire knowledge and skills and keep abreast of scientific and technological development in the fields of learning, growth, measurement and psychological and educational evaluation
Developing research and investigation skills for original topics and issues in the fields of educational psychology that contribute to scientific progress and proposing solutions to theoretical and practical issues and problems
Contribute to providing the student with knowledge about the foundations of education and psychology
Participate in the study of educational problems and work to treat them
Developing students' skills in planning and implementing psychological and counseling experiences and employing them in various fields of work
Increasing awareness of the importance of individual differences in growth, learning, motivation, and social and cultural differences, and the need to take them into account in order to achieve the principle of justice in growth and learning
Developing and encouraging the proper use of various psychological and educational measurement tools to assist in diagnosing and solving problems and making sound decisions
Raising community awareness of education issues and problems, and how community organizations participate in solving these problems
