Deanship Council
The Council of the Deanship of Graduate Studies is composed as follows:
- The Dean of Graduate Studies has the presidency of the Council.
- Dean of Scientific Research.
- The Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies has the secretariat of the council.
- One faculty member for each college that has postgraduate studies with at least an Associate Professor degree. They are appointed by a decision of the University Council based on the recommendation of the College Councils and the approval of the University Rector. Their appointment is for a two-year renewable term. The council meets at the invitation of its chairman once a month at least, and the meeting is not valid unless attended by two-thirds of its members, and its decisions are issued by the majority of the votes of the members present, and when equal, the side in which the president is favored. The decisions of the Council are considered valid, unless an objection is received from the University Rector within fifteen days from the date of their receipt.
- The Deanship Council may form permanent or temporary committees from among its members, or from others, to study what it assigns to them.
