Unit tasks
- Reviewing research proposals of faculty members and students in accordance with the rules and regulations governing scientific research at the university.
- Proposing research projects and publishing scientific research that is characterized by quality, originality and innovation in order to achieve the goals of the university and the requirements of societies.
- Supporting scientific research and motivating faculty members and the like to publish in peer-reviewed and prestigious journals, and suggest research excellence awards at the college level.
- Involving students in scientific research with the aim of preparing them for the new labor market requirements, and training and qualifying them.
- Organizing seminars and workshops for scientific publishing in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- Monitoring and archiving all activities related to scientific research for faculty members and postgraduate students.
- Providing various technical and administrative assistance to postgraduate students, faculty members and the like, and financing their scientific research fully or partially.
- Supporting and encouraging faculty members and students to actively participate and attend scientific conferences and discussions, in order to improve the quality of knowledge achievement.
- Preparing periodic reports on the activities of the Scientific Research Unit in the colleges and submitting them to the Deanship of Graduate Studies.
