Head of the Department's Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the page of the Department of Preparing Teachers of Arabic for Non-Native Speakers (Graduate Studies), a department that carries an academic and educational mission that seeks to prepare specialized professionals in teaching Arabic, capable of contributing to the development of this field in accordance with the latest theories and educational practices.

In response to the growing need for qualified teachers and specialized researchers, the department offers Master’s and Ph.D. programs in preparing teachers of Arabic for non-native speakers, with the aim of qualifying teachers and researchers who possess deep linguistic competence, applied pedagogical expertise, and the ability to deal with multicultural educational environments.

At the Master’s level, students delve into the fields of second language acquisition, error analysis, measurement and evaluation, and curriculum design, with a focus on applied scientific research that addresses real issues in the field of teaching Arabic, thereby contributing to the preparation of academic supervisors and specialized trainers.

At the doctoral level, the department works to prepare researchers and experts who are capable of developing theories and curricula, leading research projects, and participating in the formulation of educational policies related to teaching Arabic globally, in a way that enhances its presence and status among world languages.

The department is committed to adhering to standards of quality and academic excellence, building local and international academic partnerships, and providing a supportive educational environment that promotes research and innovation.
