Department head’s speech

In The Name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful 

Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger and His servant, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family and companions and grant them peace. As for what follows. 

By the grace of God, He has granted us a share in the edifice of the Islamic University of Minnesota, which spares no effort in providing support to the faculty members, researchers, and students of the Department of Da’wah and Islamic Culture through its diverse teams of faculty members, administrators, and all employees, represented by the president of the university, its vice president, and the deans of the colleges. The heads of departments, as well as the administrators and all employees, have a praiseworthy effort that will be rewarded by God. 

 Calling people to God Almighty is the best work that a Muslim can do for God, Lord of the Worlds. God Almighty said (And who is better in speech than he who calls to God and does righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am one of the Muslims”). It is sufficient for a person to have in his professions prophets, messengers, scholars, and reformers, calling to the truth and making people see it, emphasizing that The Islamic nation is unique in guiding people to the religion of God, Lord of the worlds. God Almighty said (You are the best nation brought forth for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in God. And if the People of the Book had believed, it would have been better for them than the believers, but most of them are disobedient.) From here was the beginning of our full department, the Dawa and Islamic Culture Department, to build Preachers, giving them insight into their work and making them aware of the importance of their gaps and preserving Islam’s moderation and moderation through a series of sciences, knowledge, beliefs, sects, divine and positivist religions, religious sects and sects, contemporary intellectual trends, evangelism, Orientalism, Sufi thought, and the holy books of their authors, to build a correct methodology and a clear vision in scientific research, form a knowledge base, and adhere to etiquette. Research and debate to reach the truth and adherence to it in word and deed and belief in what represents the most important pillars of good deeds recommended by the All-Knowing, the All-Aware. God Almighty said (By the age, indeed, mankind is in loss, except those who believe and do righteous deeds and enjoin each other to truth and enjoin each other to patience.)  And with this ancient university, everyone seeks reward and reward from God, Lord. The scholars, especially in the Da’wah department, specializes in guiding people, calling them to the truth, and enlightening them to it, as stated in the hadith of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
