About the department

The Department of Islamic Studies is one of the principal departments within the College of Islamic Studies. It is dedicated to teaching Islamic sciences and Islamic studies in their various branches and specializations through comprehensive academic programs designed to prepare qualified scholars and researchers capable of serving Islam and society while advancing Islamic knowledge.

The department offers academic programs at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. It oversees the teaching of courses in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and its Principles (Usul al-Fiqh), Islamic Creed (Aqidah), Qur'anic Exegesis (Tafsir) and Qur'anic Sciences, Prophetic Hadith and Hadith Sciences, Islamic Da'wah, Comparative Religion, Contemporary Intellectual Schools, Research Methodology, and other related disciplines within the field of Islamic Studies.

The department is committed to promoting high-quality scholarly research and preparing researchers and specialists capable of advancing Islamic scholarship and addressing contemporary issues through an authentic academic methodology that integrates the enduring principles of Islamic law with the requirements of the modern world. In doing so, it contributes to community service and the development of sound intellectual and scholarly awareness.
