Praise be to God Almighty, and prayers and peace be upon the Master of Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions.
It is a matter of pride and pride for us to join this scientific edifice - the Islamic University of Minnesota - which includes the Department of Islamic Studies in the Arabic Language in the College of Islamic Studies.
In the Department of Islamic Studies in the Arabic Language, we have taken upon ourselves the responsibility of activating and implementing what would arm students with science and knowledge and prepare qualified graduates who possess distinguished abilities in the field of Islamic studies in addition to scientific research skills and prepare academically qualified cadres at the hands of a group of competent scholars and jurists from various Arab countries. The Department of Islamic Studies aims to consolidate the Islamic faith, values, and morals, develop Islamic awareness, clarify the image of Islamic civilization and culture, pay attention to the recitation and understanding of the Holy Qur’an, enable the department’s students to develop their talents and Islamic activities, encourage their research, communicate with the local community on important Islamic matters, and organize special activities for students of Islamic peoples, and we carry out, with permission May God Almighty hold seminars, workshops and competitions, in addition to training students in preaching and guidance, preparing scholars and imams who are moderate in their ideas and opinions, and preparing a generation of young people armed with knowledge and communication skills and capable of carrying the message of Islam and presenting it to the world in its correct form.
