Department head’s speech
The greatest goal of education is to provide students with the best and most up-to-date knowledge, skills, competencies and teaching experiences based on evidence and scientific studies that will work to enhance the talents and needs and overcome the difficulties of our sons and daughters in public education schools. The Family Guidance Department is concerned with preparing students in all fields, seeking to develop their thinking and skills, working on the quality of education, and emphasizing Arab and Islamic morals, educational values, and professional ethics.
The Department of Family Counseling at the University of Minnesota/College of Educational Sciences includes an elite group of qualified faculty members who specialize in the fields of education, psychology, special education, and teaching methods, who hold doctoral and master’s degrees and at various academic ranks, and who are qualified to teach and supervise the dissertations of master’s and doctoral students and contribute to various activities related to community service. In addition to research activity and publication in international scientific journals and within prestigious publishing outlets such as (Scopas).
The Family Guidance Department is one of the important departments in the College of Educational Sciences, which was established in the academic year 2023/2024. The department aims to prepare students with specialized educational scientific preparation to work in the field of education and family guidance and to teach students in special education classes attached to primary schools, in addition to the possibility of working in Other scientific fields within state institutions and the private sector related to their specialization.
