About the department
The Department of Islamic Studies in English is one of the most prominent departments within the College of Islamic Studies. This department teaches the courses of the Bachelor’s degree program. It is a general program in which the student studies a set of Islamic studies courses in English over a period of four years, in each academic year there are two semesters. Each semester represents a self-contained academic level, after which the learner is awarded a bachelor's degree.
The department also teaches the courses of Islamic studies, Islamic Call "Da'wah", scientific miracles, comparison of contemporary religions and intellectual doctrines, and translations of the Qur’an. In addition, it teaches the scientific research methodology in English at the master’s and doctoral levels.

Preparing scientific competencies specialized in the Islamic call and comparison of religions and contemporary intellectual sects, characterized by moderation and moderation, able to compete and achieve leadership in the labor market, taking scientific research as a tool to meet the needs of society and its development in the light of moral and social values and in a way that preserves the Islamic identity.

Academic Nature of the Major
The program aims to prepare graduates who specialize in English in the field of Islamic studies, who are able to highlight the method of moderation in calling to Allah, distance from extremism and extremism, and set a good example in various aspects of life. It also aims to prepare a researcher who id fluent in English, in the field of Islamic Studies, spreading and preserving the Islamic Call, and refuting the suspicions raised by the orientalists and the enemies of Islam.
