Department head’s speech
Praise be to God Almighty, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace and upon all his family and companions.......And after,
It gives me great pleasure to present an introduction to the Department of Islamic Studies in the English language, and I am very proud to be the head of the department and to belong to this blessed scientific edifice, the banner of the Islamic University in the American state of Minnesota, under the leadership of the honorable father and honorable sheikh, His Excellency Dr. Walid bin Idris Al-Manisi, and with the support of the university’s vice president, His Excellency Dr. Omar. Al-Maqrami, and under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Bakri, may God protect them all, and make us continue to be faithful, loyal, and giving to this great edifice as long as God enables us to continue.
We, in the Department of Islamic Studies in the English Language, have taken upon ourselves the responsibility of improving the department, filling the gaps, and responding to everything that would make the department integrated from a scientific and administrative standpoint, by selecting distinguished doctors for the department with high qualifications to communicate science with objectivity and mastery, and applying what would arm Students will be provided with useful knowledge and knowledge of all necessary and legitimate sciences with the aim of spreading the teachings and law of Islam in the English language and preparing qualified graduates who possess distinguished abilities in the field of spreading the law of Islam and calling to God, and these will be the fruits of the Department of Islamic Studies in the English language.
In addition to skills in scientific research and development and the preparation of academically and legally qualified cadres of competent students from various Arab, non-Arab and Islamic countries in all parts of the earth. The Department of Islamic Studies in English aims to establish and explain the foundations of faith, the sciences of the Qur’an and Hadith, and the foundations of jurisprudence, and through all of this to establish morals, values and morals. Islamic education, developing Islamic awareness, and clarifying the image of Islamic civilization and culture in English for those who are not familiar with it.
The department is interested in interpreting and studying the Holy Qur’an for contemplation and understanding, knowing the principles of interpretation and the methods of interpreters, and teaching and enabling the department’s students to develop their talents and activities, by participating in mandatory activities and research at the end of the semester after the conclusion of the courses. We plan to organize special activities for students of Islamic peoples in the coming semesters, and we will, God willing. God Almighty holds seminars, workshops and competitions to increase encouragement and interest in studying with passion, in addition to training students on methods of spreading advocacy, conversation and guidance, preparing scholars with a moderate approach in their ideas and opinions, and preparing a generation of young people armed with knowledge and communication skills and capable of carrying the message of Islam and presenting it to the world in its correct form.
Thanks to God, we are doctors and administrators in the department. We deal as one family. We exchange opinions and hold periodic meetings. In the department council, any obstacles or new developments in the department are presented. We have a committee that supervises organizing activities and holding motivating and supportive seminars and courses for students, and this will only happen thanks to God Almighty and our administration. Wise.
