Meeting between Director of External Relations and Chair of Political Science Department

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, Dr. Hanan Mukhtar, Director of External Relations and International Cooperation at the Islamic University of Minnesota, met with Dr. Fayza Khattab, Chair of the Political Science Department at the College of Arts and Humanities at the university.

According to Dr. Hanan Mukhtar, they discussed the details of a training course that is being planned in collaboration between the two parties, namely the External Relations Department and the Political Science Department. The main topics of the course will cover skills of ambassadors and diplomatic representation, including the presentation of diplomatic initiatives, ideas, and visions, alternative files, and other related subjects.

It should be noted that the date and registration process for the training course will be determined after presenting the course plan to the Training and Development Center and Community Programs Management at the university. The appropriate date will be set, and the necessary approvals will be obtained for the accreditation of training certificates at the international level.

In another context, Dr. Hanan also met with Engineer Ali Mustafa, the Technical Affairs Officer of the official university website, to discuss the development of its dedicated page. This step aims to make the page more interactive with the public and relevant entities, facilitate service provision and response to inquiries, and highlight the work and achievements of the administration in a manner that reflects the university's vision and modernity.

According to Dr. Hanan, this meeting is part of the preparations of the External Relations Department for several upcoming events that are being planned.
