The Scientific Council

Overview

Under the guidance of His Excellency the President of the University, the Scientific Council of the University was formed, its members selected, and its tasks determined in accordance with the vision, mission, and objectives of the University.

Mission

Providing advice on academic and scientific standards at the University, focusing on academic quality, and encouraging scientific research in all academic departments of the University.

Vision

Upgrading the scientific and academic level of the university, and developing the academic performance of faculty members academically, scientifically and in research.

Goals

Restructuring the colleges and departments.
Nominating deans for colleges, the conditions for the dean and the tasks that he should perform.
Restructuring the heads of departments in accordance with scientific disciplines.
Supervising the preparation of curricula and courses in line with the vision, mission and goals of the university.
Appropriate ways to develop the capabilities of university faculty members to raise the levels of education and scientific research and encourage them to carry out distinct and purposeful research.
Encouraging meaningful scientific research that deals with the needs and problems of society and leads to enriching knowledge and serving humanity.
Recommending the issuance of scientific periodicals, forming the necessary committees, and recommending academic promotions for faculty members in accordance with the general regulations in force at the university.
Strengthening the partnership between the scientific council of the university and scientific councils in other universities.

Council Decisions

The decisions of the Council are issued by an absolute majority, and if the votes are equal, the side of the Chairman of the Council shall prevail
