Researcher Altelfah Awarded PhD in Political Science

Upon the recommendation of a specialized academic committee in the Department of Political Science, researcher Abdulmuin Mohammed Altelfah was awarded a PhD after defending his thesis titled "The Role of Reform Movements in Changing Governance Systems: Martin Luther and Saeed Nursi - A Comparative Study."
The defense took place in a public session organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Islamic University of Minnesota – College of Arts and Humanities, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 8:00 PM Mecca time.
The examination committee consisted of Dr. Khaled Mohammed Ahmed Atiya, Head of the Political Science Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as supervisor and chair; Dr. Bahaauddin Khalaf Abd Rabbu, faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as internal examiner; and Dr. Hind Mahrous Al-Jildawi, faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as external examiner.
The thesis provided a comparative analysis of the role of reform movements in driving political and social changes, focusing on two prominent figures, Martin Luther and Said Nursi, adding a new dimension to research in this field.
