Approval of Research Plan for Study on Reprimanding Discourse in Quran

Minnesota, April 15, 2025 – A scientific committee from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, chaired by Dr. Osama Abdulrahman, held a seminar session where the research plan prepared by Egyptian researcher Mohammed Hamed Ali Hamed Al-Deek was approved. This study aims to analyze the pragmatics of reprimanding discourse in the Quran and its rhetorical purposes, as part of his efforts to obtain a PhD from the College of Arts and Humanities.
The session was conducted under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota, and took place at 9 PM Mecca time. The committee included Dr. Osama Abdulrahman as the chair, along with members Dr. Zainab Ali Basyouni, Dr. Omar Saleh Shaqirat, Dr. Imad Al-Khatib, and Dr. Sahar Al-Samadi.
