Scientific Committee Awards PhD to Researcher Muneer Abdulbari

A scientific committee from the Department of Networks and Cybersecurity has awarded a PhD to Yemeni researcher Muneer Abdulbari Abdul-Fattah Abdu, following a public defense session held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11:00 PM Mecca time.

The session discussed his thesis titled "Protecting Information Systems Networks from Cyber Attacks: An Applied Study Using OPNET," under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota, College of Computer Science and Information Technology.

The discussion committee was composed of Dr. Salah Alawi Al-Sharafi, Head of the Department of Networks and Cybersecurity at the Islamic University of Minnesota, who served as the chair and rapporteur; Dr. Saleh Al-Riyashi, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the internal examiner; and Dr. Yaser Al-Malek, also a faculty member at the university, as the external examiner.
