College of Computing Council Meeting: Reviewing Achievements and Exam Preparations

The College of Computing and Information Technology at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main center, held its regular council meeting, chaired by Dean Dr. Muneer Abdulbari and attended by University Vice President Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Dr. Abdulbari opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and emphasized the importance of preparing for the midterm exams, urging department heads to take responsibility for this upcoming student obligation.

Dr. Al-Maqrami commended the council members for their efforts in establishing the college and efficiently implementing its educational system. Additionally, Vice Dean Dr. Salah Alawi presented a report on the college's achievements since the beginning of the semester, noting the enrollment of 350 students, the success of the summer camp, and the completion of the administrative structure.

Dr. Alawi also discussed ongoing collaboration with the administrative affairs department, led by Dr. Norhan Salama, the establishment of the "Curriculum Development and Course Description Committee," and coordination with the Training Center to organize a training course on the "Excel Program."

The meeting was attended by several department heads and their deputies, along with the college’s administrative affairs officer, Ms. Hanadi Abdullah.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the need to continue efforts to ensure the college's continued success and excellence in various fields.
