Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences Meets Department Heads and Discusses Ways to Enhance Education and Research in the College


 

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abdulnabi, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, met with the department heads in the college. Several topics were discussed during the meeting, which pertained to the college, including the transition to self-study in the departments, monitoring student numbers, mechanisms for compensatory lectures, and seminars on postgraduate study plans in the departments.

Dr. Abdulnabi commended the seminar held by the Department of Educational Administration, presided over by Dr. Heba Abu Eyada, the department head. He encouraged the department heads in the college to attend any upcoming seminars in any department.

The Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences presented several proposals that were discussed with the department heads, including the suggestion to hold a conference specific to the college and the proposal to appoint a "supervisor" for graduate students during the preparation of their research plans before approval by Dr. Mohamed Hassani, the head of the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department. Dr. Marwan Zaid Batayneh, the head of the Educational Sciences Department, expressed support for this proposal, stating in a later statement, "An assistant supervisor for interdisciplinary studies, a system implemented in many countries around the world and in top-ranked international universities."

In addition to the Dean, the meeting was attended by the head of the Educational Psychology Department, Dr. Anas Nawafleh, the head of the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department, Dr. Mohamed Hassani, the head of the Educational Sciences Department, Dr. Marwan Zaid Batayneh, the head of the Educational Administration Department, Dr. Heba Abu Eyada, and the Administrative Affairs Officer of the college, Dr. Nourhan Salama.
