Research Plan Approved to Study Effectiveness of Training Program for Mothers

A scientific committee from the Department of Educational Psychology at the College of Educational Sciences at the Islamic University of Minnesota has approved the research plan prepared by researcher Azza Mohammed Mohammed Al-Hariri, as part of the requirements for obtaining her Ph.D. The study focuses on "The Effectiveness of a Training Program for Mothers in Enhancing Receptive and Expressive Language Skills in Cochlear Implant Children Aged 4 to 6 Years."

The research plan was approved following a seminar session held by the scientific committee on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Deanship at the university. The study aims to develop a specialized training program for mothers to enhance the language skills of children who have undergone cochlear implantation, thereby improving their quality of life and communication abilities.

The discussion committee was chaired by Dr. Anas Mohammed Nawafleh, Head of the Department of Educational Psychology, and included the following members: Dr. Abeer Ismail, Dr. Alia Abdulrahman Mustafa, Dr. William Jamal Al-Muallim, Dr. Mohammed Ali Taamneh, and Dr. Ali Mohammed Dawahdeh. The committee praised the significance of the research and its scientific and social objectives, emphasizing that its findings will be a valuable addition to the field of education for children with special needs.
