Deanship of Graduate Discusses Two Doctoral Research Plans
Minnesota, USA - November 11, 2025 - The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center) held a scientific seminar last Monday evening via Zoom to discuss two doctoral research proposals in the Department of Educational Administration. The two sessions focused on advancing quality and sustainability standards in international schools in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The seminar was chaired by Dr. Heba Tawfiq Abuayadah, Head of the Department of Educational Administration, where two ambitious research plans were presented and discussed.
The first proposal, presented by researcher Haidi Mujahed Abbas Mujahed, is titled "A Proposed Plan to Qualify International Schools in Riyadh to Apply Quality and Academic Accreditation Standards for Institutional Excellence." The study aims to develop a framework for implementing international quality standards to foster excellence in educational institutions. The review committee praised the study's significance and provided scientific feedback to enrich it.
The second proposal was presented by researcher Tamara Abdullah Al-Qahtani, titled "A Proposed Vision for Achieving Sustainable Development in International Schools in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in Light of Total Quality Management Standards." This study highlighted how to align total quality management principles with long-term sustainable development goals within the school environment.
The review committees included a distinguished group of academic specialists who emphasized the importance of this research in line with the global trend toward adopting quality and academic accreditation practices.
The seminar concluded with scientific guidance for both researchers, reaffirming the university's commitment to supporting rigorous scientific research that serves educational issues and enhances the quality of educational outcomes.
