Graduate Studies Deanship Discusses PhD Research Proposal on Mindfulness-Based Counseling Program
The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center held an academic seminar to discuss a research proposal submitted by researcher Lina Shareem Al-Wuthainani, as part of the requirements for obtaining a doctoral degree.
The research proposal was titled: "The Effectiveness of a Counseling Program Based on Mindfulness Techniques in Increasing Concentration Among Second-Year Secondary School Female Students." The session was held on Monday, January 26, 2026, via video conferencing technology.
The discussion committee comprised a distinguished group of specialized academics, chaired by Dr. Mohammed Shatyat, Head of the Family Counseling Department, with membership of Dr. Walaa Al-Sayeh, Dr. Mohammed Dhayfallah Al-Qarni, and Dr. Najlaa Saleem.
During the session, the research proposal was reviewed, and its scientific and methodological aspects were discussed. The committee provided a set of observations and guidance aimed at developing the study and enhancing its academic value, contributing to the enrichment of scientific research in the field of psychological and educational counseling.
