Graduate Studies Deanship Discusses Research Proposal on Self-Evaluation
The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the College of Educational Sciences - Department of Educational Administration - at the Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center) organized a scientific seminar session on the evening of Saturday, March 28, 2026, to discuss the research proposal submitted by doctoral researcher Mohammed Rahhal, entitled: “A Proposed Educational Model for Applying Self-Evaluation Standards Based on the Standards of the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission in Private Schools in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.”
The session was held via Zoom at 9:00 p.m. Mecca time and was attended by a scientific committee chaired by Assoc. Prof. Hiba Tawfiq Abu Ayada. The committee also included Dr. Sherif Mohamed and Dr. Najla'a Saleh
The seminar featured an extensive academic discussion of the proposal’s objectives and key themes, focusing on the importance of developing an educational model that supports the implementation of self-evaluation standards in private schools, based on the standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission. Such a model is expected to enhance institutional performance and improve the efficiency and outcomes of the educational process.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of self-evaluation as one of the main tools for improving school performance and as an effective means of aligning school practices with the requirements of quality assurance and academic accreditation in Saudi Arabia.
This seminar comes as part of a series of academic activities organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies in support of scientific research and its commitment to enabling researchers to prepare rigorous research proposals that contribute to the development of the educational field and respond to the requirements of quality and academic accreditation.
