Student Sumaya Hamid Al-Humaidi Earns Master's Degree

Graduate student Sumaya Hamid Al-Humaidi has earned her Master's degree from the Digital Media Department following the successful defense of her thesis titled "The Role of Social Media Platforms of Yemeni Charities in Covering Humanitarian Work: An Analytical Study of the Facebook Pages of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action and the Human Access Organization."

The defense took place under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main campus - College of Media, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 7 PM Mecca time.

The scientific committee was chaired by Professor Hanan Sobhi Obaid, Head of the Graduate Studies Department and Scientific Vice Dean at the university. The committee also included Dr. Abdullah Adawi, faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as Supervisor; Professor Abdulsalam Said Al-Wahati, Professor of Journalism and Digital Media and Dean of the College of Media, as Internal Discussant and Secretary; and Dr. As'ad Khalil Mohammed Hamouda, Professor of New Media at the College of Media and Communication Technology at the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) in Palestine, as External Discussant.
