Meeting of Dean of College of Development Studies with Faculty Members

Makkah, May 31, 2025 – Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Faleh Bani Younes, Dean of the College of Development Studies and Head of the Department of Development Management at the Islamic University of Minnesota, held a comprehensive meeting today with faculty members and administrative staff. The meeting aimed to enhance institutional communication and follow up on academic and administrative work.
Dr. Bani Younes opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to all academic and administrative staff, praising the efforts made during the summer semester, which concluded successfully without any issues. He also extended his congratulations to the university leadership on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The dean announced the new formation of the college council, emphasizing the importance of adhering to academic competence and stating that the Disaster Management Program will include two phases in the upcoming semester.
Additionally, the topic of promotions and rewards was discussed, with the dean stressing the need to form a committee comprising specialized professors to ensure quality academic evaluation. A budget of $50 was allocated for each faculty member involved in teaching.
The meeting also featured academic interventions, where Dr. Eman Al-Jundi emphasized the importance of supervisors completing their tasks with students and suggested reducing the number of supervisors for greater efficiency.
