Approval of Research Plan on Modern Trends in Internal Auditing

A scientific committee from the Accounting Department, headed by Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Shahab Al-Din, has approved a research plan prepared by researcher Ibrahim Mahmoud Ibrahim. The study is titled "Modern Trends in Internal Auditing and Their Role in Evaluating Operational Performance of Internal Audit Departments in Government Units: A Case Study of the Sudanese Customs Forces (2014-2024)."

The approval of the plan came after a seminar session held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota. The discussion committee, in addition to its chair, included Dr. Khalaf Abu Shaqra and Dr. Abdulrahman Ahmed Rateb.

This step is part of the researcher’s pursuit of a Ph.D. degree from the College of Economics and Business Administration.
