Comprehensive Course in Simplified Jurisprudence
The Dawah Center affiliated with the Islamic University in Minnesota, USA, in collaboration with the Tartil Quran Institute in Melbourne, Australia, has launched a comprehensive course in simplified jurisprudence. The first session of the course took place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
Dr. Manal Mustafa, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies in English, has been selected to teach this course, which is based on the book "Simplified Jurisprudence," authored by a group of prominent scholars.
In a statement, Dr. Siham Abdulbaqi, Secretary of the Dawah Center, mentioned that the course will be conducted over ten weeks, with one session per week every Wednesday, starting at 1 PM Mecca time, lasting for a full hour.
Dr. Siham added that the topics covered in the course include the fundamentals of Islamic jurisprudence, such as acts of worship, purification, prayer, zakat, fasting, and pilgrimage. Periodic assessments will be conducted to monitor students’ progress, with a final exam at the end of the course. Successful participants will receive a recognized certificate from the university. It is noteworthy that the course is open to all students, both from within the university and outside it.
