Honoring Winners of "Ideal Secretary" Award

The Academic and Educational Affairs Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota – Main Center organized a ceremony to honor the winners of the "Ideal Secretary" award from the university's department secretaries on Monday, November 11, 2024. The event was hosted by media personality Iman Abdulaziz, the Secretary of the College of Media, who presented the ceremony with a unique style, using heartfelt words and expressive meanings, along with audio recordings and textual posts.

The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Muhyiddin Fakhr, followed by an opening speech delivered by Ms. Duha Al-Malqi, the Secretary of the College of Economics, who welcomed the attendees. The university's deputy, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, then gave a speech in which he praised the secretaries, describing them as the vigilant eyes overseeing the educational process, emphasizing that they are the stars illuminating the university’s sky, and urged everyone to prepare for the upcoming academic semester with dedication and enthusiasm.

The event featured a video prepared by the editing department of the media center, honoring the efforts of the college and department secretaries. Dr. Zainab Basyouni, the Deputy University Vice President, also delivered a speech commending the dedication and commitment of the secretaries, noting that collaboration and teamwork were fundamental to achieving excellence during the first semester.

In his remarks, Dr. Osama Abdulrahman Awf, Dean of Academic Affairs, expressed his pride in celebrating the secretaries, calling them "the makers of success." He explained that the ceremony was a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for their efforts throughout the semester, concluding his speech by elaborating on the meanings of the word "ideal" and encouraging everyone to embody those qualities.

The names of the winners of the "Ideal Secretary" award from various colleges were announced, including: Ms. Khaloud Hassan Ali Mohsen from the College of Economics, Ms. Iman Sabri Ibrahim from the College of Media, Ms. Rawaan Nabeel Jad Al-Haq from the College of Arts and Humanities, and other secretaries who received certificates of appreciation and official congratulatory cards.

The ceremony also recognized the college secretaries who supervise the administrative aspects of the secretaries and those collaborating with the Educational Affairs Unit team. In her closing remarks, Dr. Jumana Al-Kharashi, Director of Educational Affairs, emphasized the importance of integrity and responsibility, praising the secretaries' efforts and wishing them success.

The event concluded with an exchange of congratulatory messages among the secretaries and honorees, in a celebratory atmosphere reflecting the spirit of collaboration and teamwork at the Islamic University of Minnesota.
