Da'wah Center Launches "Ramadan Illuminations" Program

Minnesota, Islamic University, Main Center  Dr. Manal Mustafa, Director of the Da'wah Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota, announced the launch of a special Da'wah plan for the blessed month of Ramadan. The plan includes a series of activities and programs that will be carried out throughout the nights of the holy month.  

Dr. Manal explained that the Ramadan program, titled "Ramadan Illuminations," will be broadcast daily for half an hour at 10:00 PM Mecca time, featuring a selection of scholars, preachers, and academics from within and outside the university. The program will be presented either live via ZOOM virtual rooms or through pre-recorded video sessions.  

The Director of the Center noted that she, along with the Deputy Director Dr. Mohammed Al-Shuqairi, the Center's Secretary Dr. Siham Abdel-Baqi, and her assistant Ms. Amal Mohammed, has completed the preparation of the Da'wah plan, including selecting participants, making necessary contacts, and finalizing agreements. She also confirmed that Dr. Mohammed Al-Shuqairi, Dr. Idris Abdel-Rahman, and Dr. Zakaria Ibrahim will take turns managing and presenting the program throughout Ramadan.  

The program covers a variety of Da'wah and spiritual topics aimed at making the most of Ramadan by focusing on acts of worship, virtues, and Islamic ethics. Among the topics included are: "The Intention of Fasting and Its Impact," "The Spiritual Meanings of Fasting," "Training the Soul to Avoid Sins," "The Virtues of Fasting in the Quran and Sunnah," "How Fasting Enhances Piety and Faith," "The Virtue of Reciting the Quran in Ramadan," "The Importance of Night Prayers and Taraweeh," "Laylat al-Qadr: The Key to Great Reward," and "I'tikaf: A Retreat with Allah," along with many other topics addressing various aspects of spiritual and social life during Ramadan.  

In a related context, Dr. Manal stated that the Fatwa Department of the Da'wah Center has prepared a plan to present a series of fatwas throughout the holy month. These will include answering questions related to the rulings of fasting and explaining their legal applications, with the participation of prominent scholars.  

This program is part of the Da'wah Center's efforts to spread religious awareness and promote Islamic values during Ramadan, in line with the Islamic University of Minnesota's mission to serve the community and strengthen Islamic identity.
