Syrian Researcher Khaled Al-Jabr Awarded PhD in Law

A scientific committee from the Department of Law at the Islamic University of Minnesota has recommended awarding Syrian researcher Khaled Abdulrazzaq Al-Jabr a PhD degree after his successful public defense of his thesis titled "The Application of the Principle of Universal Jurisdiction in National Legislations." The defense took place on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 9 PM Mecca time.

Under the supervision of the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Deanship at the main campus, the defense was chaired by Dr. Emad Hamdi Al-Bahiri, a faculty member at the Islamic University. The internal examiner was Dr. Mohammed Shuaib Abdulmaqsoud, Associate Professor and Head of the Law Department, while Dr. Nancy Al-Faqi, a faculty member from the Faculty of Law at Helwan University in Egypt, served as the external examiner.

This achievement is considered an important step in the journey of scientific research and reflects the efforts made to enhance legal knowledge on an international level.
