Mohammed Moalem awarded PhD in Sunnah and its Sciences

Minnesota, Main Center - Researcher Mohammed Moalem Hassan Ali succeeded in obtaining a doctoral degree from the Department of Sunnah and its Sciences at the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, after the conclusion of the public defense of his thesis entitled "The Efforts of Somali Scholars in Serving the Prophetic Sunnah and its Sciences - Translation and Study".
The discussion session was held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 9:00 pm Makkah time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university. The discussion committee was chaired by Dr. Mus'ab Nabil, Head of the Department of Prophetic Sunnah and its Sciences at the university. The committee members included Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Abdulrahman Al-Asqalani, a faculty member at the university, as supervisor of the thesis, Prof. Dr. Waleed Al-Kurdi, a faculty member at the university, as internal discussant, and Dr. Sameer Zakarya Omar Hosawi, a faculty member at the university, as external discussant.
The thesis dealt with the study of the efforts of Somali scholars in serving the Sunnah and its sciences, where the researcher provided a translation and analysis of their works, which added a distinguished scientific contribution in this field.
