Researcher Heba Awad Awarded Doctorate in Special Education

Following a public defense session for the thesis titled "The Effectiveness of Play Therapy in Developing Language Skills in Children with Down Syndrome," the discussion committee decided to award researcher Heba Taha Awad a doctorate in Special Education.

The session took place on Saturday, 17 Muharram 1447 AH, corresponding to July 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main center of the Islamic University of Minnesota, Department of Special Education.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Murad Rateb Mohammed Ali, Professor of Educational Psychology at the Islamic University of Minnesota "Supervisor and Rapporteur," Dr. Dalia Fawzi Mohammed Ali, Professor of Curriculum and Instructional Methods and Deputy Dean of the College of Education at the Global University of Islamic and Human Sciences "External Examiner," and Dr. Heba Atiyah Abdulhameed Al-Taba’a, Assistant Professor of Special Education at the College of Education of the Global University and the American University of the People "External Examiner."
