Training Center Launches Three New Training Programs

The Training and Development Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota has launched three intensive training programs: "Curriculum Design and Development," "Organizational Change Management," and "Research Skills," in collaboration with the Department of Educational Administration, the College of Economics, and the College of Arts.
Curriculum Design and Development Program
The "Curriculum Design and Development" program targets faculty members, department heads, and curriculum committees, and was launched in conjunction with departmental initiatives to implement the university's textbook project. So far, the center has conducted two sessions of the program, with the remaining sessions scheduled for the coming weeks.
Course on Writing Course Descriptions
A course titled "How to Write an Accurate Course Description" was held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, presented by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bahr, an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Administration. The course targeted faculty members, department heads, and curriculum committees.
Course on Designing an Integrated Study Plan
As part of the same program, a course titled "Designing an Integrated Study Plan" was conducted by Ms. Ikram Ahmed Mohammed Qoshti, a certified trainer. This course targeted faculty members and academic department heads and took place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Organizational Change Management Program
Within the "Organizational Change Management" program, four training courses have been held so far, with completion expected in August 2025.
Course on Leading Teams During Administrative Transitions
Dr. Shaimaa Adel Al-Tantawi presented a course titled "Leading Teams During Administrative Transitions" over two lectures on July 3 and July 6, 2025. The course targeted department managers and team leaders, focusing on leadership skills during periods of change.
Course on Modern Teaching Strategies**
A course titled "Modern Teaching Strategies" was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2025, presented by Dr. Aya Mahaynah. This course targeted all faculty members and educational supervisors.
Course on Building a Positive Change Culture
Conducted on July 10, 2025, by Dr. Ishraq Zain Al-Abedin Majthoub, this course emphasized the importance of establishing a supportive culture for change and targeted senior and middle management.
Course on Empowering Employees During Change Phases
Dr. Shaimaa Adel Al-Tantawi delivered this course on July 17 and July 20, 2025, focusing on how to empower employees during transitions. The course was aimed at human resources officials, leaders, and direct supervisors.
In Conclusion
The Director of the Training Center, Engineer Al-Mu'tasem Faiz, confirmed that the coming weeks will see the implementation of the remaining training program courses, with participants receiving accredited certificates upon completion of each program. He also noted that course content files have been shared via Google Drive links, including details of each course and the materials provided by the trainers.
