Graduation Ceremony for New Batch of Students in Ethiopia

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) participated in the graduation ceremony for the second cohort of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree holders from the Islamic University of Minnesota, Ethiopia branch. The event was well-attended in the capital, Addis Ababa.

Representing WAMY at the ceremony was Mr. Faisal bin Saad Al-Jabr, Director of the Offices and International Relations Department. During the event, he met with several academic elites, heads of associations, and specialized researchers. Attendees expressed their appreciation for WAMY's participation and its commitment to supporting educational programs and projects aimed at youth and students in Ethiopia.

At the conclusion of the event, WAMY commended the efforts of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council and its continuous cooperation in overcoming difficulties and opening avenues for fruitful collaboration.

In turn, the administration of the Islamic University of Minnesota's main campus celebrated the publication of the news by Sabq electronic newspaper. Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, the University's Vice President and head of the main campus, shared the news link on the university community's main WhatsApp group. His deputy, Dr. Zainab Basyouni, noted that the publication of the news reflects the prestigious status the university holds in its global mission to spread knowledge.

Dr. Musa Mohammed Noor Al-Daw, a faculty member, commented on Sabq's coverage, describing it as "the fruit of a notable scientific and missionary effort." He added that "the praise from the Islamic Affairs Supreme Council reflects the university's status and its role in spreading Islamic knowledge and serving the community."

It is noteworthy that Sabq electronic newspaper, established in 2007, is one of the most prominent electronic newspapers in Saudi Arabia, leading the list of news websites in terms of visitor numbers. The World Assembly of Muslim Youth is also considered a leading charitable organization in supporting Muslim youth worldwide.
