Defense Committee Awards Amal Shalabi Doctorate in Quranic Sciences

The public defense committee for the thesis titled "Contested Performance Issues Between Easterners and Westerners in the Ten Readings - A Comparative Study" has decided to award Egyptian researcher Amal Waseem Ibrahim Shalabi a Doctorate from the Department of Quranic Studies and Sciences.

The defense session took place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota, College of Islamic Studies.

The committee consisted of Professor Dr. Abdulrazeq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, serving as "Supervisor and Rapporteur"; Associate Professor Dr. Imad Qadri Al-Ayadhi, faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, serving as "Internal Reviewer"; and Associate Professor Dr. Amani Hamad Moussa, Professor of Interpretation and Quranic Sciences at King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia, serving as "External Reviewer."
