PhD Thesis Defense

Minnesota, September 29, 2025 – The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main center of the Islamic University of Minnesota held an outstanding scientific discussion on the PhD thesis presented by researcher Ahmed Omar Mohammed Al-Amoudi in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Economics and Business. The thesis is titled: "The Impact of Using Technological Platforms and Smart Mobile Applications on Activating Field Initiatives in Medium Non-Profit Organizations in Saudi Arabia from 2018 to 2023 (A Case Study of the Grand Mosque Enhancement Project – Youth of Makkah Program)."

The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. Mohammed Younis, Head of the Department of Business Administration at the university, who served as the supervisor and chair; Dr. Manal Mohammed Mahmoud, faculty member at the university, serving as the internal examiner; and Dr. Fawzia Saeed, faculty member at the university, serving as the external examiner.

The committee praised the researcher’s distinguished research effort, commending the scientific findings and practical recommendations included in the thesis, which contribute to enhancing the performance of non-profit organizations through the investment of modern technologies and smart platforms.

At the end of the session, the committee awarded the researcher a PhD in Business Administration, recommending that the benefits derived from the study be disseminated and utilized to serve the non-profit sector, while emphasizing the importance of applied research that keeps pace with rapid technological transformations
