Al-Aghar obtains Ph.D. in Holy Qur'an and Its Sciences

Karim Najib Al-Aghar, a researcher from the Department of Qur'an and Its Sciences at the College of Islamic Studies, has obtained a Ph.D. degree in the Holy Qur'an and its Sciences. This came after the public defense session held by the Graduate Studies Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, in the College of Islamic Studies - Department of the Holy Qur'an and Its Sciences, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, to discuss his dissertation titled "Characteristics of the Atmosphere: A Study on the Cosmic Miracles of the Holy Qur'an." 

The defense committee comprised of a scholarly panel consisting of Professor Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Youssef Mahmoud, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the supervisor; Dr. Amna Hamed Musa, Head of the Department of the Holy Qur'an and Its Sciences at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the chairperson; Dr. Yousuf Mohammed Hameed, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the internal examiner; and Professor Dr. Ayman Sobhi Seddiq, Professor of Interpretation and Qur'anic Sciences at Al-Azhar University, as the external examiner.
