Quranic Reading Center Hosts an Scholarly Council on "Reading the Book of Al-Tibyan in the Etiquette of Quran Reciters"

A scholarly council was held at the Quranic Reading Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center as part of its diverse cultural program. The council focused on the reading of the book Al-Tibyan in the etiquette of Quran reciters. The council was presented by Professor Ahmed Al-Shafi'i, a religious auditor and a scholar in various religious sciences.

The council took place on Friday and Saturday, January 5-6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Mecca time.

The council included three main topics. In the first topic, Professor Ahmed Al-Shafi'i discussed the importance of the chain of narration (isnad). In the second topic, he presented a translation of the work by Imam Al-Nawawi. Finally, in the third topic, the text of the book was read and licensed.

The administration of the Quranic Reading Center provided a certificate of oral licensing to all attendees who benefited from the content.

This event is part of the ongoing efforts of the Quranic Reading Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota to promote knowledge and understanding of the Quran and its sciences, as well as to provide opportunities for learning and religious education for those interested.
