University Vice Rector Receives Turkish Delegation for Collaborative Talks


 

Ankara, Turkey - On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Maqrami, Vice Rector and Head of the Main Center of the Islamic University of Minnesota, received a delegation from the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK), as well as heads of various academic and endowment institutions, along with a media team from the official Turkish channel, RT, at the university's office in Ankara. 

A source from the university's media center stated that this friendly visit aimed to familiarize the delegation with the university's educational, research, and academic activities. The delegation expressed their admiration for the university's offerings and affirmed their support for the university's efforts to obtain recognition from the Turkish Ministry of Higher Education.

Dr. Al-Maqrami expressed his gratitude to the delegation from the Higher Education Council, the heads of academic and endowment institutions, and the Turkish media team for this important visit. He reaffirmed the university administration's determination to continue developing its system, programs, and scientific, academic, and research activities in line with the quality standards of Turkish and international universities. He expressed hope that this visit would open new avenues for the university and benefit its students and knowledge seekers from around the world.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Maqrami is diligently working to enhance the university's reputation. Recently, the university signed a cooperation agreement with Istanbul Esenyurt University, Ankara University of Social Sciences, and Şimşek Municipality in Ankara.
