Committee for Foreign Relations Holds Meeting

Minnesota, March 3, 2024 - The Committee for Foreign Relations and International Cooperation was held on Monday, chaired by Dr. Hanan Mukhtar, at the Islamic University of Minnesota. The meeting was attended by committee members and ambassadors representing accredited countries.

The gathering served as a platform to discuss the progress made in the field of international partnerships and cooperation with universities in relevant countries. Several significant issues were deliberated upon, including the details of an upcoming training course focusing on artificial intelligence, diplomatic affairs, and scientific research. Furthermore, the establishment of a new communication channel with the University of Spain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was also a topic of discussion.

Prior to the meeting, Dr. Hanan Mukhtar, the Director of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation at the Islamic University of Minnesota, held a meeting with Dr. Saeedi Abdelkrim, the Deputy Director of Tahiri Mohammed-Bechar University in Algeria, who is responsible for external relations, cooperation, activation, and communication.

During the meeting, intricate aspects regarding the upcoming training course on artificial intelligence and its application in scientific research were thoroughly examined. This course was announced during the international scientific conference titled "Artificial Intelligence: Between Reality, Aspirations, and Legitimate Applications," held from February 10 to 12, 2024.

Among the attendees was Dr. Salah Alawi Hussein Al-Sharifi, the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Islamic University of Minnesota.
