Strategic Meeting Bringing Together the International Relations Department and Deans of Administration

  

Minnesota, April 21, 2024 - A high-level meeting was held between the International Relations Department and several deans of the administrative body at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota. The wide-ranging quadrilateral meeting took place on Sunday, April 21, 2024, with the attendance of Dr. Hanan Mukhtar, Director of International Relations and Cooperation at the university.

The meeting included the International Relations Department along with several supporting deans in the university's administrative body. Among those present at the meeting were Dr. Marwan Batayneh, Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Zainab Ali Basyouni, Dean of Student Affairs and Curriculum and Instruction Unit, Dr. Norhan Salama, Unit of Administrative Affairs for the Colleges, and Dr. Osama Abdulrahman, Dean of Academic and Educational Affairs.

Dr. Hanan Mukhtar stated that the main objective of the meeting was to discuss and review a number of proposals presented by the International Relations Department, aimed at serving the students and faculty members at the university.

The discussions revolved around the required amendments in some administrative systems to support further international accreditations for the university. The criteria for excellence in all departments were also discussed, along with identifying the needs of different departments and fulfilling them in agreements concluded between the university and other universities. Notably, outstanding proposals in the field of teaching, promotion, and training, as well as academic and student exchanges, were also reviewed.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hanan Mukhtar emphasized the importance of these joint efforts in enhancing the university's international relations and achieving excellence in all academic and administrative areas.
