Department of External Relations Holds Key Meeting
The Department of External Relations, International Cooperation, and Conferences at the Islamic University of Minnesota held an important meeting on Sunday, September 29, 2024, chaired by Dr. Hanan Mukhtar and attended by the esteemed members of the department. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hanan expressed her deep gratitude to the department members for their ongoing efforts, commending their significant contributions in the past period and emphasizing the importance of honoring members who made outstanding contributions.
The meeting addressed several key topics on the agenda, including the importance of ensuring the continuity of international agreements through the provision of incentives for both parties. Future plans were also discussed, aiming to expand the international recognition of the Islamic University of Minnesota, enhance scholarship exchanges, and explore the possibility of organizing a celebration for World Arabic Language Day.
The attendees also discussed efforts to strengthen international relations, including a new agreement being negotiated with Niger, and the development of a formal and final debate mechanism with Tahri Mohammed University - Bechar, Algeria. Additionally, views were exchanged regarding the ongoing agreements overseen by the department's ambassador members.
This meeting reflects the university’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and advancing academic relations, thereby enhancing its standing on the global educational stage.
