Deanship of Student Affairs Honors Outstanding Students


 

In an effort by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Islamic University of Minnesota to motivate and encourage students to excel and achieve distinction, the Deanship organized a special event to honor outstanding students for the 2023-2024 academic year. The event was held on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Sponsored by the Deputy Provost of the University and Director of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dr. Zainab Basiouni, and under the direct supervision of the Director of the Undergraduate Student Affairs Unit, Mr. Sulaiman Maqboul, and with the participation of the Graduate Student Affairs Unit administration, represented by Ms. Umayma Adel and Professor Fottouh Al-Shamiri, and in the presence of the Director of the Educational Affairs Unit at the Deanship of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jumana Al-Kharashi, and all the deans of colleges and departments.

In their opening remarks, Mr. Sulaiman and the Director of the Graduate Student Affairs Unit, Ms Umayma Adel, emphasized that this recognition comes within the framework of motivating and encouraging students to excel and achieve distinction, and urging them to redouble their efforts and instill a spirit of positive competition among the university's students.

A special report on the event indicated that the objective of the recognition is to achieve a sense of satisfaction with their studies among the outstanding students, to apply the principle of academic reward by honoring the outstanding students to encourage them to redouble their efforts, and to motivate others to emulate them and instill a spirit of positive competition among the university's students.

During the ceremony, several academic and administrative leaders expressed their pride and happiness at this remarkable achievement of the students. In a speech by the Deputy Dean of the University and Director of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dr. Zainab Basiouni, she congratulated the outstanding students and wished them further distinction and success in their academic careers.

The Dean of Academic and Educational Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdulrahman Awf, praised the efforts made by the outstanding students that resulted in these commendable results. The Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Marwan Bataineh, also congratulated the students by name on their distinction and excellence.

A number of academic and administrative leaders, including department heads and directors, participated in the congratulations, expressing their pride in this prominent achievement of the university's students.

At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Sulaiman Maqboul thanked all who contributed to the success of this distinguished event, wishing the students who did not have the opportunity this semester further success and excellence in the future.

It is worth mentioning that the recognition included 280 male and female students from all academic levels, including 174 from the undergraduate level, 79 from the master's level, and 27 from the doctoral level.
