Department of Quran Approves Research Plan
The Department of Quran and its Sciences at the Islamic University of Minnesota has approved a research plan prepared by researcher Mamadou Sila to study "Contributions of Italian Orientalists to Quranic Studies - An Analytical, Critical, and Evaluative Study."
The plan was approved following a seminar session held by the university's Graduate Studies Deanship on Monday, July 8, 2024. The session included a discussion of the plan in the presence of a scientific committee headed by Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, and with the membership of Dr. Ayman Sobhi, Dr. Khaled Al-Na'an'ah, and Dr. Ahmed Abdulsattar.
This study aims to analyze and evaluate the contributions of Italian Orientalists to Quranic studies, through an examination of their works and research methodologies.
