Researcher Mahmoud Fuad Earns Doctorate in Quranic Studies


 

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, researcher Mahmoud Fuad Hammouda Abu Sayed Ahmed was awarded a doctorate degree in Quranic Studies and Sciences from the Islamic University of Minnesota, after defending his dissertation titled "Quranic Guidance from Surah Al-Jinn to Surah Al-Mursalat: An Applied Study".

The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Islamic University of Minnesota, College of Islamic Studies - Department of the Noble Quran and its Sciences, held a public session to discuss the researcher's dissertation at 8:00 PM Makkah time.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Walid Idris Al-Manisi, President of the Islamic University of Minnesota, as supervisor and rapporteur, Prof. Dr. Abdulfattah Mohammed Khader, Dean of the College of the Holy Quran at Al-Azhar University, as an external examiner, and Prof. Dr. Ziyad Ahmed Al-Haj, Head of the Qira'at (Quranic Recitations) Department at the University of Jinan in Lebanon and a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as an internal examiner.
