Department of Islamic Studies in English Holds Meeting
On Saturday, May 25, 2024, the Department of Islamic Studies in English at the College of Islamic Studies held a meeting for faculty members, chaired by Dr. Manal Mustafa, the department head.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Manal expressed gratitude to the University Vice-President, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, and the Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, Dr. Abdulrazeq Al-Bakri, for their continuous interest and support for the department.
Dr. Manal discussed with the attending professors a number of issues related to the department and the college, the most prominent of which were preparing for the summer semester exams and familiarizing the students with them, as well as informing the professors about the new structure of the department council and its functions.
She also addressed the preparation of a specialized description for the department to serve as a unified model for all professors, and in this regard, she tasked Dr. Abdullah Hammat with developing this plan.
She emphasized the importance of paying attention to recording grades after correcting the exams, and clarified the rule for distributing supervision of postgraduate students among all faculty members.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Manal opened the discussion on other matters of interest to the department, before concluding with her praise and thanks to all attendees for their participation.
