Manuscript Center Hosts Intensive Training Course on Manuscript Verification

The Manuscript and Heritage Verification Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota's main campus recently hosted an intensive five-lecture training course on manuscript verification. Five professors presented lectures over five days.

The first lecture, titled "Introductory Lecture on Text Verification," was delivered by Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

The second lecture, titled "Characteristics and Ethics of the Investigator," was delivered by Dr. Imad Qadri Al-Ayyadhi, Head of the Manuscript and Heritage Verification Center, on Monday, July 1, 2024. On the following day, Tuesday, July 2, Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Sayid, Vice President of the Manuscript Center, delivered the third lecture, titled "Methodology of Manuscript Verification."

The fourth lecture, titled "Principles of Text Verification," was delivered by Dr. Hind Saif Al-Nasr Ashmawi, Dean of Graduate Studies at the university, on Wednesday, July 3. On the following day, Thursday, July 4, Dr. Asma Farhat concluded the course with the fourth lecture, titled "Text Editing."

The Manuscript and Heritage Verification Center is one of the centers affiliated with the Islamic University of Minnesota's main campus, established to support the basic academic educational process in a way that aligns with the university's vision, strengthens its mission, and achieves its goals.
