Prestigious Academic Achievement in Quranic Studies
The researcher Mustafa Shaaban Mahmoud Seyam has been awarded a doctoral degree from the Department of the Holy Quran and its Sciences after defending his dissertation titled "The Chains of Transmission of the Qur'anic Recitation Master Abdulrahman Al-Ajhouri: A Collection and Study".
The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main center of the Islamic University of Minnesota held the public defense session for the dissertation on Saturday, 27 Safar 1446 AH, corresponding to 31 August 2024, at 8:30 PM Makkah time.
The discussion committee consisted of a distinguished panel of professors, including: Professor Walid Idris Al-Munisi, President of the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the supervisor and reporter on the dissertation; Professor Mahmoud Shams, Professor of the Holy Quran and its Sciences at Taif University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as an internal examiner; and Professor Abdulfattah Mohammed Khader, Dean of the College of the Holy Quran at Al-Azhar University, as an external examiner.
This prestigious academic achievement reflects the quality of scientific research and graduate studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, and contributes to enhancing its academic standing on the international stage.
